![]() ![]() Most recently Woody announced, on January 13, 2015, that he would be writing and directing a half-hour television series that will be exclusively on Amazon Prime Instant Video In 2010, Woody released digital spoken word versions of his four books and was nominated for a Grammy Award for Best Spoken Word Album. PBS televised the film biography called Woody Allen: A Documentary on the American Masters TV series in 2011. Feldman production What’s New Pussycat? and his first directorial effort was What’s Up, Tiger Lily? More recently, he has directed Scoop, Cassandra’s Dream, Vicky Cristina Barcelona, Whatever Works, You Will Meet a Tall Dark Stranger, Midnight in Paris, and Nero Fiddled. Woody also became a very successful Broadway play writer who wrote Don’t Drink the Water. Woody then started a new career as a standup comedian, and then began writing short stories and carton captions for The New Yorker. ![]() Beginning his career as a full-time writer for Herb Shriner and at the age of 19, Celebrity Speaker Woody Allen began writing scripts for The Ed Sullivan Show, The Tonight Show, and Caesar’s Hour. ![]()
